Camp Hope

Camp Hope, or “Tent City,” is located directly behind the offices of Mesilla Valley Community of Hope (MVCH). One of the biggest challenges Camp Hope faces is that it does not qualify for any state, federal, or foundation funding. It is only through community donations that services, necessary items like toilet paper, and food are purchased because of the generous residents of Las Cruces. In response to the lack of funding options, the Tents to Rents (T2R) fundraiser was created in 2016 with the goal to move people who are homeless and living in tents at Camp Hope into their own apartment or house.

How To Participate

There are three ways to be involved with the T2R fundraising campaign–as a participant, a sponsor, or a donor. Participants , you commit to raising at least $2000 through email and social media to family, friends, co-workers, faith organizations, etc. Sponsors, you agree to help the community and receive sponsor benefits. As a donor, you have two options to make a gift by visiting the Tents to Rents website from August 15th to September 23th. You can either make a direct contribution to a participant’s goal or donate directly to the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope. Simply click on the participant you choose and proceed with your donation.
